ANNUAL INTER SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETATION
The 8th Annual Inter School Debate took place at Kalka Public School, Alaknanda, New Delhi on 25th July, 2007 which was supported by AmityCARE. The Debate saw participation from schools of Delhi, namely Tagore International School-East of Kailash, Father Agnel School-Gautam Nagar, Cambridge School Sriniwaspuri, Dev Samaj Modern School, Green Fields Safdurjung and many more.
The Debate was held in two Categories:
Junior Category :
Class: 6th to 8th
Topic: Should Mothers stay at home to raise their children.
Senior Category
Class: 9th to 12th
Topic: Being on Page 3 is a statement of success.
Time: 9.00 am to 1.00 pm
There were 30 speakers in each category (for and against the topic). The Judges for the Junior Category were Ms. Smriti Malhotra (Marketing Executive-AmityCARE) and Mr R.K Dhingra( General Manager-FIITJEE). For the senior category Ms Mandeep Verma (Journalist and a News Reader) and Mrs Erry(Professor) were the esteemed judges.
AmityCARE was also the Prize Sponsor for the Debate. The winners were awarded with books and T-Shirts from Amity.
The event was followed by the Prize distribution and a note of thanks by the Principal.
